Sniper Systems and Solution in association with Aditya Infotech and Autodesk recently organized a workshop on ‘Growth of employment opportunities in the Animation industry’, which was directed at the HODs and faculty from Universities and Colleges at the Legend Hall of The Residency, Coimbatore. The aim of this initiative was to make the academicians aware about the budding career options in the animation segment, which needs introduction of specialized courses.

Animation education is spreading its wings far and wide; with various institutes expanding to tier II cities. Sniper Systems & Solutions recently conducted workshops on ‘Growth of employment opportunities in the animation industry’ at Tiruchirapalli and Salem, Madurai on 23 and 24 September, 2008, as part of their ongoing campaign ‘Sniper Synergy 2008’. The campaign is being conducted in association with Aditya Infotech and Autodesk. Both events were conducted with the aim of spreading awareness among the faculty of schools and colleges on the importance of training in animation and the potential of the industry. Over 70 faculty members including HODs and principles attended each event.

Sniper Systems and Solutions in association with Aditya and Autodesk conducted a road show at the Chancery Hotel in Bengaluru on July 19, 2008. The event was conducted to demonstrate the interoperability between 3ds Max, Maya, MotionBuilder and Combustion and had more than 130 industry professionals in attendance. Sniper Systems and Solutions Director S Velmurugun informed AnimationXpress.com, “The main objective of the road show was to spread Sniper’s message, ‘The key to our success is in the growth of our clients.’ We ensure the growth of our clients by continued support, demos, trouble shooting and training. We help them understand the latest technology and techniques and also make it available for them to implement in their own production pipeline.” Aditya Infotech Technical Manager Karthik Balasubramaniam and Sniper Senior Application Engineer Lenin Christopher took a collaborative work flow workshop, illustrating how a file moves seamlessly within all Autodesk Solutions such as 3ds Max, Maya, Combustion and MotionBuilder.

Sniper Systems and Solutions, in association with Aditya Infotech and Autodesk organized a workshop on 'Growth of employment opportunities in the Animation Industry'. Conducted in Salem the seminar was the latest in a series called Sniper Synergy 2008. Around 65 HODs, Principals, professors and lecturers were present at the event. The workshop was targeted towards the head of departments and principals of all (art and engineering) colleges and universities. "The aim of the series is to create awareness among colleges and universities about animation and to start a Post Graduate Diploma in Animation in these institutes," said Sniper Director S Velmurugan, who welcomed the delegates.

Department of Information Technology, B.S. Abdur Rahman University recently conducted a Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) on WEB Collaboration & Technology. This half a day event was part of a symposium and was conducted by Sniper Systems & Solutions. The QIP was attended by 60+ Professors and HOD from various colleges and universities of Tamil Nadu. Velmurugan, Director, Sniper Systems & Solutions, shares, “The aim of the QIP was to exchange the ideas and have a discussion on web collaboration, management and web services. The focus was on the issues relating to how web collaboration directs the future of internet computing and also to provide an experience for exploring a variety of web application.”

Around 250 students, HOD’s and faculties from various cities and towns of Tamil Nadu belonging to the engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University Trichy were present at the event. The workshop was targeted at students and faculty members of all engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University Trichy. The aim of this workshop series is to create awareness among students and faculty’s about the Animation industry, the process of animation, gaming, web technology and to give them an insight about the various opportunities that await these budding engineers in these industries. Also to given the engineers a prelude of what are the skill’s that would be expected out of them to excel in the Industry of Gaming, Animation and Web technology.
